Welcome!

Prevention of NCDs is a growing issue: the burden of NCDs falls mainly on developing countries, where 82% of premature deaths from these diseases occur. Tackling the risk factors will therefore not only save lives; it will also provide a huge boost for the economic development of countries.

WHO

The prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCD) and NCD risk factors in Malaysia are increasing at an alarming rate. Although we are making headway in the treatment of NCDs, emphasis must also be directed towards primary prevention, early NCD risk factor identification and intervention.

Continuing health promotion, especially towards the younger age groups, together with creating a built living environment that supports healthy living, are important in curbing and decreasing the prevalence of NCDs.

The people behind LeadNCD are a group of NCD advocators who are passionate towards forming awareness and building capacity among health professionals and the local communities alike.

We believe everyone has a role to play and together, we can make a difference.
