National Diabetes Registry Report 2013-2019

This report analyzes and evaluates the clinical outcome, treatment, and complications among audited diabetes patient records for 2013 – 2019. According to the registry dataset, there were 1,614,363 patients registered in the NDR, of which 99.3% were diagnosed with T2DM. The mean age of T2DM patients in the NDR was 63 years old, and the mean age at diagnosis for T2DM patients was 53 years old. The majority of patients were female (57.1%) and Malay (59.2%). As of 2019, there were 897,421 active diabetes patients in the NDR.
